HIF Australia

Cancer is affecting Australians more than ever, with diagnoses in Australia rising by around 93% in the past 25 years. Beyond physical health, living with a cancer diagnosis often affects relationships, daily routines, and overall mental wellbeing.

That's why HIF continues to offer access to the Cancer Support Complete Program, at no extra cost for eligible members. While the program transitioned from Valion Health to Spectrum.Life in early 2026, the support available to eligible HIF members remains the same.

What is the Cancer Support Complete Program?

Delivered through HIF’s cancer services partner Spectrum.Life, Cancer Support Complete is a 12-week virtual program designed to help improve the quality of life for eligible HIF members who have received a cancer diagnosis and are undergoing treatment, have recently completed treatment, or living with advanced cancer.

The Cancer Support Complete Program offers:

  • Personalised support to help manage the practical, emotional, and clinical challenges that can arise during the different stages of cancer treatment.
  • Specialised cancer recovery support, delivered virtually by Spectrum.Life’s multidisciplinary team of oncology nurses and allied health professionals.

Which HIF members are eligible to access the Cancer Support Complete Program?

Spectrum.Life's Cancer Support Complete Program is fully funded by HIF, for members who meet the following criteria:

  • Have been diagnosed with cancer and are currently receiving treatment, have completed treatment within the last 24 months, or are diagnosed with advanced or incurable cancer.
  • Maintain any level of domestic Hospital Cover with HIF (excluding Basic Plus and Basic Starter).
  • Complete the 12-month waiting period.
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Have access to a device with a webcam and microphone, or a telephone.

How does the Cancer Support Complete Program work?

Getting started:
Eligible HIF members can simply email contact@spectrum.life, or complete the Spectrum.Life online referral form.
A Spectrum.Life Care Coordinator will get in touch (via phone call or video chat) to guide you through the program and work with you to develop a care plan that suits your needs.

Your 12-week personalised cancer care team:
Spectrum.Life’s Care Coordinator will work with you to schedule appointments which may include support from a cancer nurse, dietitian, exercise physiologist, and psychologist, in a way that best supports you.

Once connected, Spectrum.Life's team of experts will connect with you using video call, phone and other tools to provide you with high quality, personalised cancer care and support from the convenience of your own home.
